Rebecca “Dawn” Nichols, 63, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning at her home with her caring family at her side.  She was born Friday, August 25, 1961 in Ashland, a daughter of the late James Okey and Loretta Stevens Nichols.  Dawn demonstrated an exceptional work ethic, starting in an entry-level role at Rax and steadily advancing to ultimately own both Tim Hortons franchises in Ashland and enjoyed supporting the greater Ashland community through many youth sports donations. 

Left to cherish Dawn’s memory include four brothers, James (Jennifer) Nichols of Ashland, Kentucky, Greg (Jody) Nichols of Greenup, Kentucky, Robert (Debbie) Johnson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Tres Reed of Florence, Kentucky; a sister, Kellie (James) Branham, of Ashland, Kentucky; 15 nieces and nephews; and many, many great nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. 

A celebration of life for Dawn will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Crum Chapel Church in Ashland with Brother Rick Simpson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until service time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, Kentucky.
