I worked at both pool's

I was 14 and worked in the concession stand at Breezland, I remember this one kid was rude to me so I put a wire bread twist tie in his hot dog, his mom was furious and went to the manager. Then after we graduated I was the night watchman at Southside's pool. Yes, letting the fox in the hen house. We had so much fun, I would let my friends in to play ball and swim til they got tired and went home, then I would have to clean the locker rooms. I did have my German Shepard there, so at least somebody was watching the place.  I guess the statue of limitations has run out so I will go ahead and tell this.  One night some of us were there (John David and a few others) til 2AM and we got hungry so we slid the window out of the concession stand and got something to eat, but when we put the window back we shattered the glass. So I got everybody out of there and called the cops, I told them my dog was barking and then I saw somebody jump over the fence up on the hill. Well they shined their lights around and finally one of the cops saw the window, "Hey they tried to break in here." By golly I think your right officer, I said. Good work sir.  There are other stories that must remain in the past.

I remember the midnight swims at Breezeland.  It seems like everybody was there.

Oh Yes! I was the Asst. Manager of the Pool at the very same time. I think those other stories should remain where we left them.
