Gary Dean Lillie was born on April 21, 1944 in Marin County. He attended Taft and Hoover schools in Redwood City. At M-A he was active in A Cappella Choir, Latin Club and Board of Welfare. At the 30-year M-A Reunion, he wrote that raising his two sons in the 1980s was his most significant experience to date. Gary was a retired contractor in Campbell, CA and he died October 2, 2006 in Campbell at age 62.
