After a brave fight against lung cancer, Kathy Bidwell passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Jim Bidwell, her children; Melissa Anderson, Jon Paul Dominquez and the twins, Kristin and Michael (Nicole) Bidwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Aileen Norback and her brother, Carter Norback. She was Grandmother to Joshua and Jeremy Anderson, Jesse Dominquez and Cassius Bidwell. Cousin to Nick and Linda Zukowski, Janet and Bill Wessell and a member of the Carter Family of Massachusetts. Sister-in-law to Peggy Kiernan and Debbie Bidwell. Also family to the Noble's of San Mateo. Kathy always put her family first. She worked tirelessly; volunteering thousands of hours to the children at El Monte Elementary and El Dorado Middle School. She loved the kids and was great at organizing field trips, carnivals and getting donations. She was a visionary and was instrumental in supplying computers for classrooms at El Monte Elementary, in the 1980's. She was involved in countless ways with the Class of 2000 at Concord High School. Kathy enjoyed fishing, trips to Hawaii, the Arts and all genres of music. Boy oh boy, could she dance! She lived her life with joy, integrity and a dry sense of humor. We miss you Kathy and you will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the East Bay. A Funeral Service shall be held at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 20, 2015. Celebration to follow.
