Comments:

Graduated Ga. Southern in '92 with very marketable degree in English, minor in Philosophy. Messed around at a car rental agency for a while, then landscaped. Loved cutting grass and working hard.

Went back to school at Ga. State in '94 and got teaching certificate only to realize that teaching high school seemed to be a VERY hard job that required work 7 days a week. I wasn't committed enough to that mission, so temped through the mid 90's.

Took a job at Bank of America (NationsBank) in '97 as a back-office account reconciler (Huh? Well, they paid me every two weeks and offered health ins, paid vac.,...) and through a series of lucky breaks, hard work and dare I say a shred of talent, I managed to find my way onto a bona fide corporate communications team. Desktop publishing? Layout and design? Something learned at Grady actually providing a comfortable livelihood? Yep, it's all true. Thank you very much Riki Bolster.

I live in Decatur (ITP baby!), with my wife of 6 years. No kids, save for an old dog and young rabbit. Despite the age/ species differences, they do much the same thing, which is of course sleep in the dinning room 23 hours a day or beg for treats.

I play golf as often as possible and play soccer (football to you, Verlyntae) once a week at the Atlanta Silverback's park league. Still in goal, so I guess that's another lasting impact from Grady. I took up snowboarding 3 or 4 years ago and have been fortunate enough to go out to Oregon each year since to visit and ski with Mark Cummings.

I guess that's it. Life's good. I've been fortunate beyond my hopes. Look forward to seeing you all in Aug.

School Story:

My "school story"? Mostly stuff I can't put in writing. What's safe to recall? Soccer. Lunch on the front lawn. Hacky-sack. Skateboarding. Dragging underclassmen. Mrs. Grishman's history class. Boon C Boon's very liberal testing method. Mrs. Smith's French. Ja n'cest pas! No friggin A/C! Maize the Gap. Making home-coming floats at Lee's. Smiling and waving to Dr. McLeod as we cruise off campus for lunch. "Opting" to spend a pleasant hour or two at Piedmont park in lieu attending class - with no repercussions whatsoever. SOC retreats. Character day. Mrs. Chamblee's Chemistry and of course Sly-bology. DOCTOR Tillman, if you know what's good for you. Dang, I could go on and on...
