FayeEllen Slutsky, of Marietta, Georgia died November 16, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 73. Faye Ellen was born to Simon and Sylvia Cooper in Cartersville, GA on July 11, 1945. She was raised in Atlanta, attended Grady High School and went on to study and play tennis at the University of Florida. FayEllen and Bernie Slutsky married in 1970 in Atlanta, and were together for 48 years, and had three children, Mindy, Vickie, and Jeffrey. She worked in real estate and enjoyed exercise at the YMCA, mahjong and tennis as well as volunteering as a tax preparer for the AARP. She cherished spending time with her family and was dedicated to her grandchildren who treasured their beloved "FE." FayeEllen is survived by her husband, Bernie; daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Tom Madson, San Francisco, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and David Blumenthal, Marietta; son, Jeffrey Slutsky, Phoenix, AZ; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Robert Auld, Aspen, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Carol Cooper, Atlanta; uncle Milton Freedman, Atlanta; grandchildren Hannah and Sam; as well as countless beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or Weinstein Hospice. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Shalom Lewis officiating.
