Marietta. of pneumonia She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P Cook who died July 3. 1998 She was a native of Atlanta and the daughter of the late Charles Melvin Evert and Arva Johnston Everitt A graduate of Grady High School she majored in journalism and art at Oglethorpe University and the University of Georgia She worked for the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs and Max Fadden Advertising and did free-lance writing She is survived by her daughter.
