BRASELTON - Donald C. Pyke, 56, died Friday, April 21, 2000, at Barrow County Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Pyke was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., a son of the late William and Emma Pyke.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as an account executive with A.D.P. Dealer Services. Mr. Pyke was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, with the Rev. Mack Riley officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Cheri Springer Pyke; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Pyke and Barry Hammock, Braselton, Amy Pyke and Chad Hardeman, Lawrenceville, and Kim Pyke and Chris Chastine, Bethlehem; one son, William Thomas Pyke, Lawrenceville; one sister, Ruth Miller, Sharpsburg; two brothers, Bill Pyke, Dallas, Texas, and Dick Pyke, Friendswood, Texas; one granddaughter, Ashley Katelyn; and four grandsons, Blake Anthony, Hunter Ross, Joshua David and Brandon Davis. Memorial Park Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
