So sorry to hear of Bud's passing. My condolences to all of his family. Bud and I became friends at Grady High School. We both enjoyed some simple gunsmith  work and also target and clay pigeon shooting. We had many fun outings shooting water-filled gallon milk jugs and other non-traditional targets. We did not like the traditional clay pigeon shooting routine; so we would set up scenarios where the shooter couldn't see exactly where the clay pigeon would launch.  After graduation from Grady, we both started as freshmen at Auburn University in the summer quarter of 1965, and we were roommates at Noble Hall through our first three quarters. I regret that when I changed my major from engineering to pre-law economics our contacts waned.
