Karen Sims Solana was diagnosed with a stage IV inflammatory breast cancer, a very aggressive form of cancer, about 4 weeks ago. At first she was given weeks, then just days, to live. Karen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, at Halycon Hospice, Atlanta.
Karen & I lived 3 blocks from each other in Morningside & attended Samuel Inman Elementary School together, Grady, then later Georgia State University where we were sorority sisters.
