Joy Johnson Eastman, 69, of Greenville, wife of Ronald H. (Ron) Eastman, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at Rolling Green Village.

Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Roe Dolphus Johnson and Lois Miller Johnson.

Mrs. Eastman was retired from Fluor Daniel after 37 years in data control and accounts payable, and was a member of Cherrydale Place Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed teaching children's Sunday school classes and sang in the choir at Morgan Memorial Baptist Church. She never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her daughter, April Elaine Eastman, of Columbia, SC; and three sisters, Ruba J. Norris, of Marietta, GA, Esther J. Michael, of Jackson, GA, and Linda J. Woody, of Mableton, GA.

The visitation was held Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service were held Monday, February 11, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of the Upstate, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601.

so many memories of all of us running around West End together on Friday an Saturday nite's,going to Prom you an John's senior year,staying out all nite an having so much fun.Helping serve the cake at your wedding.where have all the year's gone?Goodbye sweet friend.luv u john and diana crain
