I was shocked and sad to see that Bill had passed. I know his cancer was not curable but he said that he was doing well and no more chemo for three months. I am so thankful that he was able to come to the 50th reunion! He looked so healthy and had that beautiful white beard! We will miss him! Thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I was so sad to see this notice. Bill was such a nice guy & a fine man. I had not heard from him in years however my parents were friends with his parents, especially his father who loved beagles. My dad kept up with Bill over the years. He had great things to say about him and his whole family. I hope his passing was easy and he rests in peace.
Bill Shaw was my friend. He was true to the creed he grew to know in the Marine Corps, Semper Fidelis, always faithful. He is missed. My sympathy and condolences to his extended family. Bill Huff
Bill was one of my best friends in High School. I spent many a night at his house. Ocassionally we snuck out the basement door in the middle of the night and made our way through the woods by the lake to Bill Brandenburgs house. I remember like it was yesterday bar hopping in downtown Atlanta celebrating Bill's safe return from his second tour in Vietnam. He gave me some great advice as I was about to begin my tour. Sometimes Bill and I would spend the night at Frank Lane's house. We brought our trombones along and...well the three of us made a lot of noise... but it was fun. I was so excited to see him at our reunion and touch on some of the past. I will miss him. RIP Bill.
