Welcome Classmates to all things THS Class of 81'! 

This site was created to connect and re-connect with our classmates (even those who will not be attending the reunion). Our next goal is to make this site a scrapbook of memories for all classmates so please upload any photos during your time at Therrell. Don't worry, our site is private and secure!

Can you believe it's been 40 years since our graduation! We are blessed beyond measure. As we prepare for our 40th Reunion, your help will be vital in spreading the word. We have volunteers who have donated their time to make our reunion weekend a success. The keys to a GREAT Reunion are strong attendance, an engaging schedule of events, and a successful giving back campaign. These elements ensure a wonderful weekend for all who return to reconnect with classmates and with the school, and they allow each of us to celebrate our time at Therrell by paying forward to today’s students and faculty. 

*DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, WE HAVE POSTPONED THE FULL REUNION WEEKEND UNTIL JUNE 2022!!!

Hello, THS Classmates,

We started this venture with grand ideas and the commitment of classmates to provide a great virtual reunion experience. Well after being quarantined for over a year, and some receiving the vaccination, the yearning to fellowship grew into a full-fledged party hosted by Fred Washington in his backyard oasis. We had a plan! As you know, even the most well-planned events have hiccups. We were successful in hosting the virtual line dance class but unsuccessful in maintaining a strong connection for the party. It was decided by those attending virtually to discontinue the attempts. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope you will join us in the near future for additional 40th Reunion events. We are CELEBRATING for the rest of the year! So be on the lookout for one or all of these suggestions: another BBQ, an Adult Skate Night, THS Homecoming Tailgate, and a Holiday Party. 

Let's take this time to Reconnect with friends, Remember, honor, and forgive the past, Reinvent the panther spirit to create a communal goal. I challenge each of you to get involved, lend us your talent, and connect with a classmate who you've not seen or spoken to over the past 40yrs.  This pandemic has shown all of us how short life is! STAY CONNECTED! We can't do it without you.

I'd like to thank our trailblazer, Trudy Jackson Willis for her love and dedication in coordinating previous class reunions and events. She couldn't join us but I would be remiss if I didn't give her the recognition she deserves! This is not an easy task and requires a dedicated team! Trudy provided most of the raffle items you will see in the video, THS class umbrellas, shirts, and tote bags. Thanks to Gale Ware Parsons for donating the gift cards and Winston Price for donating wine from his private stock. 

Finally, I want to thank Fred and Eugenia for creating an amazing program! Eugenia spent a lot of time capturing our classmates. Not to worry, her efforts will not be in vain! We will show the entire program in 2022, get ready! Thanks to all of the members of the planning committee who put up with my many text messages through the late night! I appreciate your commitment to seeing this through. A special shout out to Gale Ware, Brigit Weaver, and Freddie Boomboom Washington for getting our finances on track! If you've not started paying your dues, please see the attached flyer. Dues are only $10 per month, $120 yearly (flyer attached). The funds will be used to offset reunion expenses. I have also included a financial statement of our progress, see attached.

Classmates we are having a 60th Birthday Celebration at Highland Lake Clubhouse in South Fulton on Saturday, September 23rd, so save the date!  Classmates are asked to pay dues of $120 by August 15th.  The amount covers the venue, food, photographer, DJ, decorations and a 60th t-shirt.  Classmates are allowed one guest at a rate of $30 due by August 15th as well.  Can't make the event but want a t-shirt?  Just send $20 and your shirt size by August 15th.  See flyer below for details on where to send dues and shirt size.  Spread the word and hope to see everyone for a night full of dancing, good food and fellowship!

Hey Classmates, it's football season!  Let's hangout on Friday before the party! Meet us at the game.

Therrell plays South Atlanta September 22, 2023, 7:30 PM at Lakewood Stadium. If you purchased a 60th birthday shirt, you can get it at the game. See you there!

Happy Holidays Classmates,

We are having our first Christmas mixer.  This is a catered event and made possible through paid class dues.  If you haven't paid your dues, you are asked to pay $25 to attend..  Any guests will be charged $25 as well.  All fees should be paid to Fred (CashApp: $FredSellsATL) by December 20, 2023.

All classmates and guests will be responsible for their alcoholic beverages.
