I miss catching up with Bret each year at Drake Relays. He was an amazing person, great husband, dad, community leader. He touched so many. We are all at a loss without him.
I remember getting a call from Mitch Trewet who was in tears. He told me my friend, Bret Younger had died. Even so many years later and so far away I felt the loss of a boy I knew in school, one who was kind and smart. I also remembered the day Bret told me he had night blindness. I thought I had it too because it was hard for me drive at night. Thanks to Bret, I got that checked out. He left a lasting impression on me.
