Well, I had to get on at work to reply Lisa and Joe. It must be the settings on my laptop.

Anyways, I hated to turn off the music Sat. night because I new it would mean the end of an event that was truly life changing. To see all my classmates in one accord, having fun like recess 30 yrs. later. Melissa finally turned off the music and I began to pick up the equipment and load it up. I teared up a good bit and Melissa asked was I ok. She wasn't suppose to see me that way. I wanted to dance, but it was more fun watching everyone else enjoy their time together.

You know, I think if we made this an annual event, we'd get so good at it that it wouldn't be as hard to put together and we would have a standing reservation with  the (Reservation) haha Wind Creek.

I must appologize to everyone on the entertainment. It was a last minute back up plan that Wanda, Merril and I threw together. With no mixer and lights we did the best we could considering we only had about five days to get it together. All the Equipment had been rented out for the Mayfest. But we prevailed in the nick of time. We will take request for what everyone will want to dance to prior the event next time so we can keep everyone on the dance floor.

I would like to thank my wife Melissa for helping me out and communicating between Wanda and myself. We had 1:00 and later nights all week because of our Youth revival.  I'll finish later.

And yes, I know I talk alot.

I think you did a great job on such short notice, Randy! Thanks for pulling it together at the last minute. Wish I could have stayed longer, but we promised our daughter to bring her some supper when we got home, and when I looked down at my watch at 11PM, I figured I had to go before everything closed and my daughter starved to death!

Hopefully the reunion disk production will be back on track shortly. I just bought another laptop and should be back in business today sometime.

We should do this as an annual event. We could always keep a standing aggreement w/ Wind Creek and I wouldn't mind investing in sound and light equipment to work with. The planning wouldn't be as hard either.

What happened to your other laptop? Was it the hard drive? I hate that you had to buy another laptop, those things aren't cheap. You can shell out more than a grand easy. Everyone really appreciates all the hard work you're doing and all the trouble you're going through to get all this done. I wish I would have had more time to talk to more people at the reunion. Hope no one thought I was being stuckup. I was just busy trying to get things done on time. I was able to speak to almost everyone but Lana and Little Beth. Wish I could have gotten better aquainted w/everyone and found out really how they were doing and how their Life Journey has been for the last 30 yrs. We've all gone through all kinds of circumstances and it has built character in us all. And you could tell that everyone seemed to have handled things in their lives pretty good and had a high maturity level or things wouldn't have gone so smoothly. Even Wind Creek employees and staff were commenting to Melissa and me about how well our reunion went. They said we were the most well behaived group and said we all seemed to all have a very loving relationship with one another. They even mentioned Nate drinking so much and was still very pleasant and fun to be around. So, our Class of '80 has shown that we have the most class!  Hope that one day we can get together and  get to know each other better. BE BLESSED! Randy

Well, I'm not sute what happened to it, but it was either the processor or the motherboard that took a dump. Won't even power up to the bios screen. I might order a new MB and processor for it and let my daughter have it. Thankfully the HD is OK and I have installed it into the new machine, so work on the CD (or I should say DVD cause everything won't fit on a CD!) can continue. Basically I'm just waiting on getting all the pics from Wanda and I'll start burning them.

I guess Nate is one of those guys that get happier when the get drunk! lol

I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT WE HAD PROFESSIONAL DJ'S BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS ENJOYING THEMSELVES LIKE WE WERE AT A NITE CLUB AND I THINK WE HAD SO MUCH JOY AND EXCITEMENT IN OUR EYES TO NOTICE IF THERE WERE PARTY LIGHTS OR NOT...WE REALLY SHOULD KEEP IN TOUCH MORE OFTEN BECAUSE WHEN I SAW THE MEMORIAL WALL I DIDN'T REALIZE WE HAD LOST SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAS GONE ON...WE HAVE MORE YEARS BEHIND US THAN WE MAY HAVE IN FRONT OF US SO LETS THANK GOD FOR BRINGING US TOGETHER AND PRAY THAT HE KEEP US REUNITED...

The reunion was amazing.  It was totally worth the nearly 20 hours we drove to get there. I too didn't want it to end.  I was one of the last to leave the ballroom and stayed up till 5 a.m. chatting with friends in Susan's suite.  None of us wanted the night to end.  I am so grateful that we were able to rekindle old friendships and start new ones.  We all have more in common than we ever knew in high school.  I look forward to our next reunion. If any of you that weren't able to make it read this please consider coming to the next opportunity we have to get together.  The Homecoming or Williams Station Day will be a great time to get together again.  I will do my best to be there.  I'm so glad the Lord blessed me to be raised in the south and to live in Atmore, AL and attend school with you all.  I feel like I'm a better person for it.  THANK YOU!!!

I am posting this with my husband, Randy Wearren' s blessing...(he doesnt know how to do computer lol)  Anyway, we had a great time Saturday night. He thoroughly enjoyed catching up with his old buddies! I also enjoyed my time spent with you. Although I did not grow up in Atmore and have only met a handful of you before (at the 10year reunion)Ii just want to tell you that I appreciate how warmly you welcomed me into your group. Yall are a wonderful bunch! Your reunion was first class. Kudos to those involved in the planning and execution. - Holly & Randy Wearren

Holly and Randy,

Sorry I didn't get to talk to you guys very much. There was alot I needed to be attentive to so I would be where Wanda needed me to be.She said she was nervous and wanted me to try to stick by as close as possible. Wow, I was nervous too! Randy and I worked together at Samco during high school at night and grew up together. That boy was in love w/ Farrar Fawset. sp? It looks like he got himself one. We need to hook up one day and get caught up.

hey Randy! almost as soon as we got into the parking lot, Randy said he regretted that he didnt get to talk to you as much as he wanted to. He knew you were really busy (and by the way yall did a fantastic job), but he really wanted to catch up with you. So getting together would be a great idea! By the way...thanks for the compliment! and believe it or not, we still have that poster that he used to have of Farrah around here somewhere!

Has Randy ever told you about the bathtub rides behind the p/u truck? It's a wonder that anyone survived if they hung around some of his parties! And his grandad, Mr. Wearren was one of the coolest grandad's I've ever met and he always spoke to me, no matter where he saw me and he would kinda shake his head side to side and smile as if to wonder how we had lived so long doing all the crazy stuff we did. I miss him! My # is 251-294-2700  call and we'll get together.

Patricia,

Thanks for the kind words and yes, I think we all were bubbling over with JOY! Let's all plan to have a tailgate party just before the home coming football game at the high school this fall and then crash the dance. This time maybe Buster will let me dance with some one. I had a lot of fun watching him. It was the happiest I've ever seen him.

You know, each person in our class is like a brush stroke by an artist. By itself it doesn't look like any thing spectacular, but when they're put together, it's a masterpiece. Every stroke being as important as any other! That's what the Class of 80 is about. The perfect mix of a great recipe! LTD    May God Bless and Keep Us Until We Meet Again!   Randy

WANDA  THOUGHT OF THIS WHEN WE WERE TALKING THIS PAST WEEKEND. I TOLD HER, NOW THAT WE'RE BACK IN TOUCH WE SHOULD STAY IN TOUCH BY HAVING AN ANNUAL GET TOGETHER JUST LIKE FAMILIES DO. DAVID GEHMAN THOUGHT IT WOULDN'T HAVE THE SAME FEELING AS A 30 YR REUNION. I AGREE BECAUSE IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO RECREATE THAT FEELING. I WANT TO CREATE A "NEW" FEELING EVERY YR. WE ARE A FAMILY AND I LOVE AND CHERISH EVERYONE THAT'S IN IT. EACH PERSON IS UNIQUE AND COLORFUL.

                                GOD BLESS   RANDY

I really enjoyed myself, it was great to see everyone that attended even the one's that I see often. I would love to have a get together more often if not yearly maybe every two years and that way the one's that has to travel can save up a little here and there. Wanda, Joe and all the rest done a great job, and Joe is still working so hard to get us our memory DVD's. The one's that's away I wish we could communicate more often cause one or two days isn't enough time to catchup.

I agree Jackie, there was just not  enough time  to catch up 30 years in 3 days. I would love to everyone again in the next few years. I hope we dont wait another 10 to do this again. Your daughter is so lovely  Jackie and you haven't changed a bit yourself. Atmore is such a nice place to live. I will be glad when I move home to see old friends and maybe make new ones.
