red hot hockey Posted Thursday, February 4, 2010 10:21 PM This is not about high school but it is about middle school. I remember a table in the library that had a worn out hole in it. Jerry Page, Kippy Poe, and a lot of others utilized our unneeded study time to dial in our redhot hockey skills. With pencils for hockey sticks and red hots for pucs. Where in the hell was our DS or Ipod? How did we survive, having to use our imaginations an all? I did take time to read all of the Hardy Boy Mysteries, The Boxcar Children series, and the Nancy Drew Series. (all of these were read while I was in the penalty box) Also, Kippy had an ongoing comic strip of all of us. I think he called me greaser. We were some creative kids. Oops, another memory, Mrs. Faircloth. That poor, poor lady. Everytime she gave a test, I had an epileptic seizure. As kid, I was pretty tough with regards to dealing with diseases, but it tore her heart out. There was nothing she could do for me. Jerry thought they were asthma attacks, I didn't tell him any different. Jerry offered me money to fake one if needed so we could get out of the test I remember a topic of hers about taxes. I told her that they would one day tax us for air, she asked why would I think that? I replied, "They are selling us our water, I don't see a reason for them to stop there." I look back at that. It looks like the day is here.
