Wow. Where do I start? Reunion weekend was amazing. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to pull this off. Wanda, my hat is off to you for pulling all the pieces together into a great event. Everything went so well, with only a few slight hiccups. I think everyone had a good time, or at least they acted like it! The food was great, but the fellowship was the best part. One regret I have is that I probably missed out on some great friendships because I didn't take the time to get to know some of you better in high school.

I had absolutely the best time of my life!  Joe, I don't know what "hiccups" you are talking about.  I certainly didn't notice any.  Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this together, especially Wanda.

To those who didn't go -- you will never realize what you missed out on.  When we have another reunion (and I understand that will be in 5 years) please come join us.  You won't regret it.

I agree with everything that's been said! it was a great time....I'm with Joe in that I wish I had taken more time to get to know some of you better in high school. We were all more alike than we were different. I hate I didn't get to get together afterwards with some of you to talk about old times...maybe next time I'll be able to! but thanks to all who invited me!!!!  looking forward to the next one. Let's don't forget about the williams stations day event coming up in October.

Well, the sound for the memorial slide show kinda sucked. I think the cable they gave me only had one side working, so the voice part didn't sound good at all. Other than that. things went pretty good!

You know we were all rooting for you to get 'Most Eligible Bachelor', but the Egghead award was great, too. I hope you drove down, because carrying that prize back on a plane would have probably raised a few eyebrows!

I think the windcreek could use some improving on their service..but that wasn't anybody on our ends fault...just one of those things...all in all, perfect weekend!

I know what you mean. Serving BBQ ribs, but NO NAPKINS? lol

My sister-in-law was working at the casino that night and said they had to move another group out of the room (apparently they had double booked it) before we got there. That's why things weren't set up already.

My ears are still ringing from Friday night, though. It was LOUD in there!

Hey, I was just glad to get food on Saturday night.  Licking my fingers wasn't a problem!! :)

I thought all the activities were wonderful.  It was great seeing everyone again, you couldn't tell most of us haven't seen each other in 20-30 yrs!  I liked Wind Creek for the banquet.  It did take me a while to get my voice back from Friday night.  I did alot of yelling/talking!!  I definitely hope we get together again in 5 yrs!

it was pretty darn loud in there friday night!  but everybody was just so happy to be together, it didn't matter!!  the food was great, the napkin thing was pretty funny....I was watching people using those little squares while they were eating ribs.......

I agree Lisa, everything was secondary compared to the getting to see other again!!  I really appreciated honoring the veterans.  That was a very nice portion of the night.  My husband retired from the Air Force, he thought it was great too.

yeah, that was great...as a proud army mom, i loved it!!! i wish I had known harvery was in Kileen Tx when benjie was at Ft. Hood...we had 3 days one time to kill, waiting on him to get home from iraq..would have been great knowing someone out there!! 

It looks like I missed a few classmates who served when I did the military page for the memory book. I do apologize for that, but I was going on the info I had at the time. But having them come up and be recognized was great,  and I hope they all realize how much we all appreciate what they do/did.

Five years, huh? I'm ready for one next year, or even sooner!

I don't know if Wanda would agree with the "sooner" statement.  I just put 5 yrs because I thought someone else said that.  It would be great to see everyone sooner than that!

You're probably right. It will take her that long just to recuperate from this one! I have to throw some flowers her way for the great job she did getting everything organized. The website kind of handled itself, and wasn't nearly as much work as what she did finding places to meet, getting food and entertainment lined up, tracking down people, etc.

There were a lot of people I wish we could have located, though.

  I was so glad I came. My husband and I had a blast.  We actually hated to leave but had to get back to reality. The food was great and seeing everyone was just wonderful. I hope we do this again in soon, I really enjoyed seeing my classmates and was impressed to see what we all had accomplished in these 30 years. Great great job to all those who put this together.

I am so impressed by how organized and well put together everything was!   I wasn't expecting the presentations Saturday night and was amazed at how well they were done.  Any issues with the food and service lies with the caterer and not with the organizers.

I had a blast Saturday night and woke up with a scratchy voice - I don't know if I've ever talked that much.  I didn't wear a watch Saturday night and when I saw people start to leave at what I thought was an early hour someone told me it was after one o'clock!  I thought it was maybe 10.

My heartfelt thanks and admiration go out to Wanda, Joe, Karen, Susan, and all the committee members who pulled this off.  I hope it wasn't so good that people are afraid to have another one in case the next one doesn't measure up!

I AM STILL FILL WITH JOY AND EXCITEMENT FROM THIS WEEKEND...IF THERE WERE ANY ERRORS I WAS TO EXCITED TO NOTICE...IT WAS GOOD SEEING EVERYONE AFTER ALL THOSE YEARS...I TRULY HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AND HATED FOR THE WEEKEND TO END...I HOPE WE CAN ALL MAKE THE WILLIAM STATION DAY IN OCTOBER BUT SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET THE RIGHT WEEKEND THIS EVENT IS SUPPOSE TO BE...I KNOW I MAY LIVE CLOSER THAN SOME BUT IF THIS IS HOMECOMING WEEKEND AS MANY OF US AS POSSIBLE NEED TO REPRESENT THE CLASS OF 1980 FOR SHOW...LET'S ALL KEEP IN TOUCH EITHER ON FB OR BY E-MAIL WE HAVE RECONNECTED THE CHAIN SO LETS KEEP IT TIGHT...LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU ALL AND AGAIN IIIIIIIIIII  HADDDDDD AAAAAA GREATTTT TIMEEEEEE.....

I'm with you on that patricia..I'll find out as soon as I can  when the homecoming game is going to be. I know they will have a alumni tea that afternoon and our class will be recognized at the ballgame.  We need to do a float!!  that would be fun...think I'll get with wanda and start working on planning that...We'll also keep everybody informed on what's going on williams station day..the exact date and so forth. We all really need to stay in touch. 

Jerry, I woke up with the worst sore throat yesterday morning...glad to know I'm not alone....misery loves company you know!  LOL

Well, I found another snag. MY LAPTOP DIED LAST NIGHT!!!!! Won't even try to boot up. I'm praying it wasn't the HD, because EVERYTHING from the reunion is on there. I think it's the power supply, so the HD SHOULD be OK, but I have to get it fixed before I can get the data off it. The CD may be delayed a little while until I can get everything back up and running.

Oh, if you want to update your profile on the site, please go ahead and do so as I'll be pulling the info off again and updating the memory book for the disk. This version will have everything included because I'll have plenty room for everyone's profile stuff.

praying for joe's hard drive!!!!   bless your heart. you've worked so hard on everything...I'm sure it's going to be fine...you are the best to go above and beyond like you have...randy did a great job too...in addition to wanda, susan, tracey and everybody else!!  

I have already posted on here once but I do have to say again how appreciative I am to everyone who had anything to do with putting this together.  I can't remember when I had more fun.  I am already looking forward to the next one, whenever it is.  I just hope that it is soon.

For the group that hung around in Susan's room after the party wound down, I thoroughly enjoyed that.  It was really fun to just sit around and talk and laugh.

In case you are wondering, my "Egghead Award" is in a place of honor and I will display it with pride!  I got some funny looks as I left out of Wind Creek at 5:30 a.m. carrying a toilet seat.  Fortunately, Stan Spears was there to be my body guard in case some security type tried to take it from me!
