Louisa Nell Hays age 65 of Arab passed away Thurs. Aug 29, 2013, at her residence. Ms Hays was born on Jan. 14, 1948 in Marshall Co. Al to Charlie K.S. Hays and Cora Nell Marsh Hays. She was a retired school teacher and held degrees from Snead State, Auburn University and UAB. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter in law: the Rev. Dr. Charles (Katherine Ann Kingren) Hawkins of Ocean Springs, Ms; Brother: Dr. Sidney B. Hays of Clemson, SC ; grandchildren: Elisabeth Ann Hawkins and William Clark Hawkins. She was preceded in death by a brother: Dr. Kirby L. Hays and sister: Charlene Hawkins. Funeral service will be Sunday Sept. 1 2013 at 1pm at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat. from 6-8 pm at Gober Funeral Chapel.
