It was nice that Everett was able to make it to Bill's funeral service.  Had he been stronger, I'm sure he would have been asked to make some remarks since he and Bill stayed close throughout their lives.  Everett's dad and mine were in the forestry dept. together and, most memorably, made wine each fall in our basement.  Sam Lyle would spike each bottle of his with a shot of vodka, which made perfect sense as the wine was hardly high quality.  That probably meant Everett had more fun than I did when he dipped into his dad's stash.  What memories...

Everett had more close friends than anyone I know. That speaks for itself. We loved his wonderful laugh and his wit. He faced his end with great courage. Everett suffered month after month through repeated chemotherapy. He was so loved by his family and friends and he wanted to stay here.
