Neva Louise (Tuller) Dontje, 51, was born in The Dalles, Oregon on November 22, 1954. Neva was the youngest of seven children, and was born to Harold and Geraline Tuller and grew up in Auburn, Washington. As she grew up, she always asked God to give her a husband that was involved in Missions. That request was granted on October 6, 1975 when she had met Robert (Bob) Dontje. They were married four months later on February 6, 1976.
She and Bob joined Mission Aviation Fellowship in 1981, and are still with MAF. Neva and Bob had three children, Joshua (25), Timothy (23) and Stephanie (18). Neva's heart was in serving people in anyway she could. She loved and touched many lives, and is loved by many. Neva was called home on August 30, 2006, at 5:00 AM at her home in Ledyard.
She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Dontje; her sons, Josh Dontje and Tim Dontje; her daughter, Steph Dontje; her parents, Harold and Geraline Tuller of Sequim, WA; her brothers, Sam Tuller of Renton, WA, Dennis Tuller of Sunnyside, WA, and Ellis Tuller of Kennewick, WA; her sisters, Cheryl Contreras of Beaverton, OR and DeAnn D'Shane of Wenatchee, WA. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Eldon and Mildred Dontje of Ledyard; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Paulsen of Baudette, MN, brother-in-laws Jim Dontje of Berea, KY and Kevin Dontje of Des Moines, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stillborn sister in 1947; and her two children who died before birth, Jeremiah in 1982 and Roz in 1986.
