School Story:
although this isnt exactly a high school story, it does show irony of our small town. I mentioned that I now live in Soddy Daisy. It is a small town, much like Auburndale, only it has mountains. I have run into people from Auburndale here in Soddy Daisy. It kind of freaked me out at first, but I think it is so ironic and shows how small our world really is. I actually ran into someone, her name was Wendy, (she didnt graduate with us, but she did graduate in Auburndale) at a Soddy Daisy Football game. Words cant express how surprised and shocked I was. She had moved two hours away near Knoxville Tn. and their team was playing our team. I also ran into La Donna Bearden at the Ryan's steak house here. I am still amazed by that. I wasnt sure if it was her at first and Kevin begged me not to go up and talk to her cause he said there was no way it was her. (He was afraid that I would embarrass him) But if you know me, you know how curious I am and I had to do it. It was her! And, she was as shocked as I was. I kept thinking that God has a funny sense of humor. I though this is way beyond coincidence, and I dont really believe in Coincidence anyway. I always say it is just God being anonymous. I have a friend that lives in Nashville but she is originally from Lake Wales and she says she has run into a few people from Auburndale. She said that they knew my brother, Sport. It still makes me laugh. We are everywhere. If you have a story that is way beyond coincidence and you would like to share it, I would love to hear it, I am kind of working on a project that is putting these stories together. It doen't have to be only about Auburndale.
