Rodney Hayden

April 18, 1967 - October 20, 2018

Rocky Obituary Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid; Do not be discouraged, for the lord your god will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) It is in our deepest regret, and sadness that our beloved Rodney "Rocky" Hayden in Aurora Il, suddenly passed on October 20th, 2018 at Presence Mercy Medical Center. He was born on April 18th, 1967 in Aurora Il, to the late Clifford and Frances Hayden. Rocky was a provider, loving husband, father & grandfather who was employed by Veritiv. He was also a proud Tomcat who graduated from East Aurora High School and Lincoln Trail Collage. Rocky was a man of God who attend Living River Center in Aurora Il, were he demonstrated the great faith that he inherited from his beloved mother & beloved grandparents, Robert & Lilly Hughes. In his spare time Rocky enjoyed watching sports. His Favorite teams were the Cubs & Bears, but overall he was a true Chicago fan! His joyous laugh and infectious smile were known to place even the most troubled hearts at ease. Rocky was a source of strength with unconditional love for on his family and close friends. Rocky leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved wife of 29 years Sophia Rodriguez Hayden, loving sons Brandon "Yartiza" Rodriguez, Ryan Hayden (Alejandra Corral), Rodney Hayden Jr., and Richard "Ricky" Hayden (Alquisha Russell) all of Aurora Il. He also leaves behind being the proudest grandfather to AJ Hernandez, Itiliaa "Tally" Hayden, Jenelle Rodriguez, Aaliyah Hayden, Tristen Guzman, Andre Hayden, Adriel Hayden, Anaya Hayden, Joely Rodriguez, Richard Hayden Jr., and Josiah Chambers. He was also a loving brother to Lisa, Reginald, Keith, Sean, Troy, Kerry Hayden and Tiajuana Smith. He also leaves a special place in his heart to Glen "Uncle Mack" Hughes. In addition he leaves behind, aunt's, uncle's, niece's, nephew's, cousin's and friends whom he loved unconditionally. It was preceed in death by his parents and grandparents, his grandson Carmelo Clifford Hayden, uncle's Melvin Earl Hughes and Lincoln Hughes and his special cousin whom he loved like a son Kyle Ivanov. Family will be receiving guests on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL. www.dieterlememorialhome.com
