Steven J. Schmit, 18, Route5, Austin, died Saturday at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.
He is Survived by his mother, Sharon Schmit, Austin; his father and stepmother, Jack and Pam Schmit, Austin; a brother, Curtis Schmit; grandparents, Earl and Lucille Allen, Austin, Lawrence and Dorothy Schmit, Rose Creek; great-grandmother, Evelyn Hanson, Brownsdale; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Steven J. Schmit, Route 5, Austin, will be held 3:30 P.M. at Clasen-Jordan Chapel with Rev. Frank Enright officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before the service at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. There will be no reviewal.

Steve Schmit was the last person that I saw the day of our graduation.
He and I waxed Mr.A's truck the last hour of highschool. He had a plan in life. Not sure what it was but I new him. He was such a great guy. I felt that I was more than a friend than most. Yes he treated me a little diferant around other friends but he talked to me like I would be there for him. It makes me sad when I found out about his passing. Love you steve-Allways have.
