Katherine Anderson Peterson passed away peacefully on August 27, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. Katherine was born on June 17, 1942 in Georgetown, Texas. She was the only child of Carl S. Anderson and Louise Katherine Anderson. Her father was a member of Brushy EV Free.
Katherine became a member of FCYF in 1955 and EV Free in 1957. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin and then attended Texas Women’s University. Her most cherished accomplishments were her devotion to her family and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Katherine was well prepared to meet her Lord because of a FCYF Camp in Round Rock, Texas. On the last night of the camp, uncertainties and questions were answered; Jesus Christ become very real, she became a child of God.
While attending FCYF Fellowship Meet, our youth sponsor, Jewel brought us together. Katherine and I were married in June 17, 1962 and had two sons Erik and Carl. We spent 44 happy years together.
