On Saturday, September 24th 2022 we lost quite a character.

Daniel T. Shea was born on September 19, 1953 to Teresa and Bill Shea and was raised in Austin, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelors degree in advertising and was an ad man extraordinaire. After working for Southwestern Bill for many years, Danny and his brother Bill were cofounders of the night club Maggie Maes on Sixth Street. Danny was quite the outdoorsman and shared a countless number of hunting and fishing trips with his son and closest friends. He was an incredibly competent mechanic. As a young man he could completely break down and rebuild his VW Karmann Ghia. He had a photographic memory which aided him in his many hobbies. Danny was a very devoted father, helping his son create elaborate school projects, prep for auditions in big Hollywood movies and offering support for his freestyle BMX hobby even though it terrified him.

Danny is survived by his beloved son Daniel, daughter-in-law Rachael and grandkids Luna and River. He is also survived by his brother Bill Shea (Kim) and sisters Becky Shea Head (Ray) and Terri Shea Giles (Mickey) and many nieces and nephews.

We will miss him so.
