HALL, Duncan Wayne
Duncan Wayne Hall passed away on January 23, 2016 at the age of 63 in Denton, Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 19, 1952, the son of Mary Marshall Root Hall and Emory Wayne Hall. Having grown up in Austin, Texas, he graduated from McCallum High School in 1971, and went on to graduate from The University of Texas in 1975 where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He then attended law sch
ool at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, graduating in 1978.

He practiced law in Giddings, Texas, where he was also a member of the Giddings Volunteer Fire Department. He went on to call Austin, Texas and Denver, Colorado home before settling in Denton, Texas for the past 11 years.

He was a seventh generation Texan who found joy in taking road trips around his beloved home state. He had an exceptional intelligence and was well versed in politics and history. He enjoyed keeping up with his favorite local sports teams, and was an avid reader. He had a deep love for his family and made a profound impact on their hearts.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine and her husband, Jonathan, and their two children, Courtney and Nathan, of Richmond, Texas; sister, Julie Pierro of Austin, Texas; brother, Alan Hall and his wife, Chris, of Brea, California; brother, Richard Hall and his wife, Jocelyn, of Washington D.C.; and former spouse, Diana Hall, of Richmond, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 29th, at 11 a.m. at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
