Mary Grace Walker, known to everyone as "Gracie," was born on November 27, 1952, in Austin, Texas. As a young girl, along with her five sisters, she attended St. Mary's Catholic School and then later began her thirty year career with Clinical Pathology Laboratories.
Gracie was a free spirit who left a mark on anyone she came in contact with. Gracie loved all genres of music, watching musicals, cooking and spending time with her family.
Gracie enjoyed her career at Clinical Pathology Laboratories as a courier and then later as a Lab Tech. At work she was not just a co-worker but a friend and motherly figure to so many.
Gracie was the "big sister" of all her siblings, she was "grand mommy" to her grandsons, "sweetie" to her husband, and "mama" to her sons. Her beautiful smile and jovial spirit were contagious and overtook the room when she walked in.
Gracie was loved and cherished by so many family and friends and was a blessing to everyone she knew. She was a selfless woman full of compassion for others and would help anyone in need. Her joy flowed through her and she had a way of making people laugh and always feel welcome. Gracie passionately loved her sons and grandsons and was a true example of one who loved unconditionally.
Gracie went to her eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, March 10, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Milicia, mother, Connie Milicia and daughter Sonya Walker.
Gracie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Walker; sons, Ozzie and Eric Walker; grandsons, A.J. Cole and Eric Walker; her sisters Rose Anna Garcia, Carmella Russell, Irma Milicia, Patricia Zhuel, and Angelina Milicia; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
