LITTON, David Randle "Randy"

David Randle "Randy" Litton, of Cedar Creek, passed away on June 6, 2014. He was 61. Born in Austin, Texas on November 17, 1952 to Bill and Mary Helen Litton, Randy attended St. Austin's Catholic School, Murchison Junior High, and McCallum High School.

Randy married the love of his life Tanya Vernon in January 1971, and together they raised three children, Kelley, Sarah, and Daniel. Randy moved his family to Cedar Creek in 1986, living on land that had been in the Litton Family for generations. Randy was an extremely proud fifth-generation Texan- his great-great-grandfather Addison Litton having been a member of Stephen F. Austin's original settler party.

An accomplished carpenter, Randy started in the trade as a teenager on his father-in-law's framing crew, and worked over the years owning his own construction company before developing his trim carpentry skills. In his free time he was an avid deer hunter often prepping for the upcoming season, and passing his love of hunting and appreciation of guns and bows to his son.

Randy is preceded in death by his uncle Jiggs Litton, sister Cathy Litton, father Bill Litton, and sister Patty Tomsu. He is survived by his mother Mary Helen, sister Laura Jackson and husband Bill, brother-in-law Bill Tomsu, former wife Tanya and his three children and their spouses, Kelley and Eric Hartnett, Sarah and Cody Boatright, and Daniel and Chontel Litton; he also leaves behind 7 grandchildren- Winter James, Addison David, Riley Grace, Satchel Joseph, Wyatt Henry, Avery Faith, and Baby Litton due in October.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cedar Creek Cemetery Association.
