Les Henry

(09/07/2003) Leslie Evans (Les) Henry, age 49, passed away on September 4, 2003, in Jonestown, Texas, of natural causes. Born in Austin, Texas, on October 29, 1953, to Hubert Allan Henry and Peggy Evans Henry, he lived in the Austin area all of his life. He attended Reagan High School until 1971 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Marine Corps until 1975 when he was discharged and returned to Austin. He then enrolled in the University of Texas where he began a degree in business. He left the University to begin a career in plumbing, becoming a Master Plumber. He started his own business, Lemar Plumbing Company. He then went to work for the University of Texas where he worked until his death. Les was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed anything out of doors. He was a talented artist and musician, as well. He loved people and was known for his way of making the best of every circumstance. His special gift for making friends with anyone and everyone touched the lives of many. He will live in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Les is survived by his wife, Ann Reilly Henry; children, Joshua Henry and Elizabeth Ann Henry. He is also survived by his parents, Peggy and Hubert Henry of Austin, Texas; brother, Jim Henry and wife, Wanda of Austin, Texas; sister, Kathleen Henry Moor and husband, Mike of Houston, Texas; father-in-law, John Reilly of Marble Falls, Texas; as well as many uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Les' favorite song was ``It's A Wonderful Life'' by Louis Armstrong. This truly symbolizes the way he lived his life, like he was thankful for each and every day he had. Services: Monday, September 8, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edgar Funeral Home in Marble Falls with Bro. Max Copeland, officiating. Burial in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park under the Direction of Edgar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
