Donald Janda Donald Janda, born in Austin on July 24, 1953, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at the age of 53.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Janda. Survivors are his partner, Rob Dee; father, Richard Janda of Austin; brother, Dick Janda and wife Sandy of Cypress; sisters, Loretta Valenta and husband George of San Antonio, Delores Gililland and husband John of Plano, and Diane Janda of Austin; nephews Patrick and Michael; nieces Anne, Amy and Valerie.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place Monday, June 4, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd., Austin.

Donald was a longtime employee of his father's business, Richard's Music Center, and a lifelong patron of the theatrical and musical arts. Those wishing to give memorial contributions are requested to send them to Austin Cabaret Theatre, 1005 Stobaugh St., Austin, TX 78757.
