HEY 1972 CHAPS!                                        -    

Our 50th reunion is going to include three days of FUN gatherings. Your Reunion Committee promises that it will be THE BEST 50^th WHS REUNION YET!!! (only been two before us, right?).  It will be fairly similar to our 40^th reunion with Friday and Saturday events, except we will be inviting “old folks” to this year's reunion (Us)! LOL

After reading this page, please read the seperate pages (tabs 2, 3, 4 and 5) to get more important information about each event and about donations to honor someone. 

NOVEMBER 11, 12 & 13, 2022, AUSTIN

BROKEN SPOKE! FRIDAY EVENING 

We will enjoy dinner and dancing at the Broken Spoke. This event begins at 6:30  (but come whenever). Folks can come and go on their own schedule. There is no "cover charge" for our group (just identify yourself as WHS 1972 at the door to avoid the cover charge). Classmates will be able to order drinks/food and pay as they order.  While not required, it would be helpful for planning purposes if those hoping to attend the Broken Spoke event would use the registration form above to indicate your plans to attend (Thanks!). Our class will enjoy a special area of the dance hall reserved just for us. This event is limited to the class of 1972 and spouse/guest. Patricia Prewett Roberts is arranging this event. SATURDAY NIGHT. COUNTY LINE BBQ DINNER & PROGRAM.

 SUNDAY MORNING. 11:30 AT VAQUEROS RESTAURANT

We will gather on the patio at Vaqueros Restaurant near WHS (on 360 where Tres Amigo was for so many years). We are inviting WHS classes 1970-1978 to join us.  We are limited to 75 on the patio at this event, including spouses/guest. No reservations required, but it would be really helpful to provide the Vaquero's staff with a head count. You can provide your headcount using the registration form above or text you headcount to 615-512-5299.The buffet costs $25/person or order from the menu. Pay your food/beverage bill as you leave the restaurant. HOTEL RESERVATIONS

If you need lodging, you are welcome to the hotel of your choice. But you do have the option of reserving from a group of 25 rooms we have reserved for our class at the Ramada Inn located near the intersection of Ben White (Highway 71 East) and IH 35  (address is 4323 South IH 35 Frontage Road). This location is normally 10 minutes from the Broken Spoke, about 15 minutes from the County Line on the Hill and not far from Zilker Park. Make your reservation direct with Ramada at 800-854-9517 and ask for the ”Westlake High School '72 Reunion” block of rooms. You will be asked for the Itinerary Number (confirmation #) which is 5136B 3223 57136. 

Ramada’s single-bed and double-bed rooms will cost $109.65 plus tax. If you reserve one of these rooms and then need to cancel it, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours in advance (so if you intend to come you might as well reserve a room now and then cancel if you end up changing plans). Any of these 25 Ramada rooms not reserved by our class by 10/13/22 will be released to the general public.
