Mentha Denise Young (1960 - 2007)

Mentha Young left us in June of 2007.  She is survived by her parents, Donald and Emma Young; grandmother, Hattie Harris; brothers, LaRay Young, Sean Hendrix, Sr. and wife, Randi, Arrlon (Moonie) Young and his wife.  Mentha is remembered fondly by family, friends, and classmates of EBHS '79'.

Viewing for Mentha Denise Young, to start Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. with an hour of meditation to be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Rucker's Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10 a.m., at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 E. Brundage Lane. Rev. Tyree D. Toliver is officiating with interment to follow at Union Cemetery. Mentha leaves to cherish her precious memory, her parents, Donald and Emma Young; grandmother, Hattie Harris; brothers, LaRay Young, Sean Hendrix, Sr. and wife, Randi, all of Bakersfield, Arrlon (Moonie) Young and wife of Oklahoma; godsister, Gerri L. Dodd; special friend, LaDonna Vessey; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and her St. John church family and friends. A special thanks to Odyssey Hospice for their care and dedication shown for Mentha, who is deeply and sincerely missed.
