Rick and I were life long friends, we met in kindergarten and remained friends. He was a nice guy, enjoyed playing his guitar, and being with his friends. Our 6/7/14 party is something he would have loved to be at. Miss you Rick.
A tragedy losing Rick. We've known each other since early days at Fallstaff Elementary School. He and I played music together regularly. He was an excellent guitarist and probably would have pursued that career under other circumstances. He was a lawyer but it seemed never really content in that carreer The crazy thing about hearing about his death was finding out at the same time that he had left a message on my home answering device but didn't know that at the time. I suspect he was reaching out, perhaps to say goodbye? We will never know but it pinches to know he was calling and I did not know it.
