Bruce graduated with the class of 1965 and died March 8, 1982 from injuries sustained in a helicopter crash near Speyer, Germany weeks earlier. He was an Army Chief Warrant Officer having graduated from flight school in 1980. He was assigned to the 56th Aviation Company when his accident occured. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
