Gil was cremated and, at his request, we all gathered together and took his ashes to his favorite fishing place and scattered them around.
Gil married Pamela "Pam" Alice Miller (Graduated from WHS - Not sure of year) on Sept 26, 1970 Randallstown, Baltimore Co, MD. No children.
The original owner of the "Windsor Inn" (in front of the Airport), Windsor Mill Rd, always called me (Diane Pollard - Graduated Class '65), Gil and youngest brother, Rob, the "Three Little Rascals".
Our youngest brother, Robert "Rob" Noel Pollard graduated from Class '67, married Sharon Marie Summey (graduated from WHS same year as Pam Miller).
We grew up in the, then, Hebbville/Woodlawn area, about 2 blocks down from the Windsor Inn. At that time it was a rural area.
My name is Candy and I lived on Windsor mill rd in the same house as Pam and Gill. They lived upstairs and me and my husband at that time Jim Lambert lived downstairs. We were all very good friends. They were a very big help to me when my husband and I split up! Very good memories!
So sad to hear of Gil's death so young. I remeber him well. I grew up on Jeffrey Road in the new houses that took away all of the wooded area that surrounded the Pollard residence, Not sure who from the neighborhood first met Gil, but I'll bet it was at Woodmoor Elementry School, My brother Steve Hurtt went there while I went to OLPH at the time. Again one who died well before he should have.
I am Gary Glanville. I lived at 7111 Windsor Mill rd. The Woods lived in front of my house and your house was behind them. The Carharts to the left of the Woods family. Peggy and Sharon. I was class of 69. Gil and Robbie were older than me but I remember at the bus stop with them. I recall Gil wore glasses. Sorry to hear of his passing
Hi! Gary - Yes, you, quite well, descrbed how the houses were all situated. I don't know if you have been to Fourth Ave any time recently - It isn't at all the way it looked when we lived there. Our mom had passed away in 1976. My father had eventually remarried and remained living in my parents home until he passed away in 1996. Our step-mother remained living in the house until her death in 2009 - At which time her executor was her neice and my parents home was to go to this neice. Well, early this year I went to our home where us kids had spent most of our lives and the sight I found just brought me to tears. The house was abandoned (inside, hadn't been messed up), the outside was completedly overgrown, with trees growing up around the fence, the fence gates were hanging off, the fence was falling down in places, trash around the yard, windows looked like they had tried to be opened from the outside. My mother was so proud of her home. Did some checking into it and found out that my parents home (we moved there when I started into the 4th grade) had been foreclosed on - The home that my parents had bought and my father had paid the last payment on it 8 months after my mother passed away.
Hi! Candy - Yes, I do remember you and your husband. Yes, Gil did die too young - age 47. He had died at about the same age as our mother died. She had passed away 2 weeks after turning 47.

Yes, I remember that development being built. The property had belonged to the Longleys that lived to the right of us.
