Our First days in Lourdes (souvenirs souvenirs)

 How many do remember their first moments in lourdes?

I remember being bullied at the “holy ground” by sister Geraldine Ndiforchu as I tried to force my way through the famous isle hitherto  reserved for form Fives, not knowing the SP  was directly behind me.

02 days old in school as a form one student, I nobi even know who be SP sef. I be know say holy ground na weti? I can remember sista Geraldine Shouted “na which kepti dis eh, how dare u? do u know where u are? Just make a u-turn… I ran down as I followed my other mates who rushed thru the handball court. hahaha.

 We transformed the ref into a beehive, the noise was too much. Our bigs made the loudest noise. But I remember the noise suddenly stopped immediately sista LOLA stepped in. a grave yard? I thought. Hmmm. I got scared for a moment.  No comment!!!

 Saturday 06^th September 1986, general school reopening. We could see the big and bigger gals (2,3, 4s). It was evident that birds of the same feather flocked together as I noticed that form 2s didn’t mix up with from 3s and so on. Strange!!! Each class was given due respect. But as form ones, we had to bear the cross as we did everything for the bigger gals at any given moment if not!!!! hmmmmm.

 Sunday 07^th September 1986, finding myself once more in the ref, I noticed that each table contained all the forms, 02 form ones, 02 form twos, 02 form 3s, two form 4s two form fives. My God!  the noise in the ref was horrible. At one time, it stopped. “Silence absolu” Two imposing Ladies made their way in, then went straight to their table. (Rosary Table 2, I think). I couldn’t resist this time around as I gathered some courage and asked my then form two big, now, Rev Sister Venita Suh. “who are they?” “the SP & the ASP”, she whispered to me under the table. Hmmm

 During meals, obviously there was still some muttering. Suddenly “silence absolu”. No movement, all cutlery down! The SP was up. I watched her walk to Fatima table 5 where the bell used to be. Tranquillity reigned. She didn’t touch the bell, yet all ears were for her. She talked then majestically moved to her seat. Same scenario at the assembly ground on Monday 8th september. Massah, my first days were too hot. It wasn't easy adapting oh.

Da kind thing, wey man no be get any funky, nothing, My parents respected à la lettre the prospectus. Not even garri nor fried groundnut. hahaha! Langa be fit kill man during break especially as girls be used for go dorm den return with dier unsweetened CABIN "catalised" with margarine. Dem go make de loudest noise for class as they eat. Hahaha. 

Abeg wuna remember wuna own make we laugh, hahaha
