This is the email I sent out to Ben and Latoya on 6/4/2009.....Just want to keep everyone up to date.

Morning Latoya & Ben,
1. Just wanted to say hello and let you now what we have on our end of this deal. For the last few years a group of friends and I have rented out a space for new years that is located under the overpass on perkins behind Chelseys. It has a lot of room outside, it also has a bar that we use,,,,,lord knows I still like to get crunk up, and we can have it for the entire day and late into the evening. I had already talked to the guy about reserving it for the 25th of June, however, Ben told me that this might be a little early for some of our out of town folk. I don't see a problem reserving it a month or so later. Note: it only $500. We could hire a dj,,,and I have friends that will work the bar for cheap. Also,,,,due to the fact that I am still single and not surprisingly attractive, I have a cougar in North Louisiana that heads the graphic design department at a Casino and can get us a great deal on post card mail outs. I mean fancy mail outs. Like the ones the fancy white people schools use.
2. I hear that the 4 year reunion has raised a few eyebrows. I personally think it could be a good idea, especially in helping out with turn out. Lets be honest, we could barely get our fellow classmates to show up for class much less a 10 year reunion. I believe the rule of thumb with reunions is that only 1/2 of the people that say they are going to show up actually do. That means the reunion will consist of Ben, his 14 kids, Latoya, two strangers that walked over from chelseys, myself and whatever flavor of the month I happen to be hanging out with. Also,,,,,I would recommend that we do not call this a four year reunion,,,,but call it a class of 1999 reunion welcoming the classes of 98, 2000, 2001 to come and visit. This way, we do not have an obligation of getting in touch with all several hundreds of these folks......we just spread the word and welcome anyone that shows up.
3. Money stuff,,,,,,I have read a previous email claiming that we will probably need to get the money ahead of time to make this happen. I will now tell both of you in all seriousness,,,,,this will not happen. We know our piers,,,,we could barely get people to sign up for a website concerning our class much less send us money. I am willing to take on a big chunk of the monetary risk, I will pay for the place along with the dj and a large chunk of the alcohol,,,,cuz in case you forgot,,,,I like to get crunk up. I will just have to get paid back on the back end.
4. Date of event,,,,,I have talked with Ben about this and we both agree,,,this is something that shouldn't not be put up as a vote....a small group of us just need to pick a day,,,and run with it.,,,,,,,,and soon, so I can get my cougar friend to start on our invitations.
