I got to know Ed during track and cross country. He was a great team mate and athlete. We lockered near each other our freshman year as I recall. Somebody had his locker combination and kept stealing his lunches. Ed, being Ed, had his mother prepare some delicious chocolate brownies made with ex-lax. Ed was pleased when that lunch too disappeared. I don't recall Ed ever complaining about lunch thefts after that.
Ed was Eddie when we were at Prairieview Elementary together. I remember all of my classmates from way back. My condolences to his entire family! Each day is precious, a gift, and an incredible journey.
