John Tassone, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the age of 44. John received his Master’s Degree from Jersey City State College. John was a special education teacher at Horace Mann # 6 Elementary School in Bayonne, for 16 years. John was loved by his students and well respected by his coworkers. He was a “Teacher of the Year” recipient. John enjoyed time spending time at the Jersey Shore, especially in Lavallette.

John is the son of Salvatore J. and the late Roberta B (nee McCaig) Tassone; brother of Thomas Tassone & his wife Debbie, Barbara Ann Branagan & her husband Robert, and Michael Tassone & his wife Cathy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
