Mrs. Brandy Lynn Brooks-Rideau, 37, of Anahuac, Texas was called home to glory on June 5, 2012 to be with our Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brandy was born October 18, 1974 in Liberty, TX, to Roy Brooks and the late Cindy Chaumont-Stancik. Her family traveled and settled in Baytown, TX, where she graduated from Ross S. Sterling High. Brandy was a great organizer, enjoyed writing, and had various skills. Some of those skills allowed her to spend most of her time in the workforce at Jindal Steel (currently JWS Steel USA) in Baytown, TX, where she worked as the Shipping Logistic Coordinator. After struggling with several health issues due to Juvenile diabetes, Brandy ended her career at the tender age of 33. Despite her health issues she became a homemaker ...and eventually a mother. On January 12, 2009 she gave birth to her baby boy, Caleb Corinthian Rideau. Brandy had a spirit full of joy and always brought a smile to your face with her witty sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was there for everyone in need; she was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clint Rideau, son Caleb Corinthian Rideau, stepson Clint Rideau II; father and stepmother Roy and Connie Brooks of Baytown, TX; Stepfather Kevin Stanck of Ganado, TX; mother-in-law Gay N. Hadnot of Baytown, TX; brothers Roy Brooks II and Corey Brooks (wife Heather) of Inez, TX; brother-in-law, James Rideau III(wife Susan) of Humble, TX; sister-in-laws Wanda McGinty (husband Durward) of Houston, TX; Tomi Hadnot Jordan (husband Gilbert) of Baytown, TX, stepsisters; Cortney Zach, Brooke Moore and Kendra Strauss; stepbrother J.T. Hernandez; grandmothers; Dorothy Brooks of Anahuac, TX, Enola Lee Chaumont of Lake Charles, LA; godparents, Faye and Joe Comeaux of Lake Charles, LA; best friend Randi Coleman of Baytown, TX and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Cindy Chaumont, Cindy Chaumont, stepbrother Marcus E. Hernandez, and grandfathers Paul C. Chaumont and LG Brooks.
