Preston Joseph Richard

PRESTON "PC" JOSEPH RICHARD, 38, died at his Houston home on April 23, 2003. Born in Opelousas, La. September 18, 1964, Preston grew up in Beaumont and graduated from French High School in 1983 before moving to Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Lela Mae Richard. Preston is survived by his 8 brothers and sisters of Beaumont; Ricky, Randy, Marilyn Wise, Carolyn, Carmen, Wanda, Tammy and Courtney Richard. He leaves a daughter, Crystle Richard and his step children, Ja'Leesa and Jerell Jones. "PC" managed Jax Grill Restaurant on Shepherd since it opened 8 years ago. His million-dollar smile and accommodating friendliness won the hearts of hundreds of customers, co-workers and friends from all over. His enthusiasm to bring Zydeco music to Jax created an outpouring of fans from all walks of life. Preston's desire to help a friend or a stranger in need will always be remembered. His beautiful smile and unconditional love will be truly missed but not forgotten. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003 at the COMMUNITY OF FAITH CHURCH, 1024 Pinemont between Ella & Shepherd. Pastor John Murray, residing. The Richard Family will have funeral services in Beaumont, Tx., Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Calvary Mortuary, 1225 S. 7th St. 9-11 a.m. Visitation, 11-1 Funeral Services.
