Stella, Rhonda Dean and Bettina. We were the three Amigo's in third grade at Martin Elementary. Remember "Old Lady Rix, fell in a ditch, found her a penny and thought she was rich". This was our third grade teacher. The girls had to wear ribbons in their hair on Thursday's and the boys had to wear ties. I found out years later it was in memory of her late husband. When you saw one, you saw the other. Inseperable we were until fourth grade. Stella went to Lucas Elementary and became good friends with Balinda Hervey, I was so jealous once we started middle school, and oh yeah, Rhonda found new friends too. Stella was a quiet storm. I remember how smart she was. She always turned her work in early and always got a 100 and she had the most beautiful handwriting.. Yep, that was Stella. I celebrate what her life could have been. Stella Simon!! I have navigated to this memorial site several times to view the names of our classmates who are no longer with us, physically. Whenever I get to Stella's name, I pause and sigh because it feels like she left us too soon. I can remember Stella and myself dancing in Mrs.Smallwoods class - Totally disruptive!! But we had so much fun together. Her smile displayed the warmth of her heart. I know your season in this life if over, but the memories you provided will last me the rest of my life.
I miss you!!
Lynn

Stella must have been special to everyone who knew her. She was one of the nicest persons you would want to meet. I remember how Marvin Ruben (God rest his soul) was in love with him some Stella. She used to say he got on her nerves, but I think she kinda liked him in her own way. REST IN PEACE Stella,
