Adam Wade Stockton 40, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011, in Jacksonville, Texas, his home for the past ten years. Adam was born October 16, 1971, in Beaumont to Joan and Oleo Stockton. He was a graduate of West Brook High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lamar University. Adam was employed with Schaumberg and Polk in Beaumont, then at their Tyler office. Adam was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Like his father, he was a talented woodworker. He was a gentle soul and a seeker of knowledge; of tender heart and generous spirit. Survivors include his sisters, Julie Stockton, Jill Stockton Coffey and her husband, Joe all of Lumberton, and Gayle Carnes of Alvin; several nieces; and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents. His memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011, Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a gathering of his family and friends to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Adam's name to Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704 or to a charity of one's choice
