It is with a great deal of sadness that we share with you that one of our classmates, Frank Burdine passed away on Monday, December 16 at his home in Bryan, Texas. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife, Joanna, his daughter, Stacey and his son, Brian. Tragically, Stacey's father in law, Joseph Salamone died in his sleep on Wednesday morning, December 18, placing a very heavy burden on the family.

It is always difficult to say goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends said goodbye to their beloved Frank Burdine (Bryan, Texas), who passed away at the age of 76, on December 16, 2019. 

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank Burdine and Erlanda Burdine; and his parents-in-law, Joseph and Angie Salamone. He is survived by his wife Joanna, his daughter, Stacey Parks(Tray) and his son, Brian Burdine (Partner, Crystal Stout); his granddaughters, Taylor and Abbey Parks as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.

Frank Burdine Obituary

February 18, 1943 - December 16, 2019

Francis "Frank" Wade Burdine, 76, of Bryan, Texas passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA. on February 18, 1943, to Frank and Erlanda "Coke" Burdine.

On September 21, 1968, he married his wife of 51 years, the love of his life, Joanne Salamone in Conway, PA. Frank loved spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters Taylor and Abbey. He enjoyed going to Texas Aggie football games and watching the Steelers and Penguins on TV any chance he got. He also enjoyed watching Nascar and loved going to the races.

He loved people and never met a stranger because he considered everyone a friend. He genuinely cared for and loved being with anyone he knew.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Erlanda "Coke" Burdine and his in-laws Joseph and Angie Salamone.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne, his daughter and son in law Stacey and Tray Parks of Bryan, TX, his son, Brian Burdine and partner Crystal Stout of New Braunfels, Texas and his granddaughters, Taylor Parks of New York, NY, and Abbey Parks of London, England.

Visitation was from 5-7 pm, with a Celebration of Life at 7 pm, on Friday, December 20, 2019, at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. The graveside service was held Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 9 am at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army of Bryan and College Station in Frank's honor.
