Jeff was an unselfish friend to anyone who would talk to him.

It used to make me angry when classmates would pick on him. I hope that his passing makes people feel bad for helping make his life a living hell in school- maybe to help them to become better people in their adult lives. He just wanted people to like him, in his own, drive other people crazy way.

Jeff dealt with his adversities with humor. I guess he is laughing at us now while watching us all grow old.

I remember Jeff sleeping in class most of the day. He spent a lot of time at home and up late at night. Somehow he passed each year. Maybe it was due to his ability to pull off passing grades, or just the fact that the teachers didn't want him in their class for another year. He could sell things like a madman. I think he even won a reward once for selling magazines or something to fund one of our trips, or a dance, or another activity that ultimately benefitted and enriched our entire class' high school experience.

I wish you could make this one, old friend. I wish that I'd been a better one to you.
