“Official Date of Death” for Terry David George (BHS Class ’63) by Larry Butcher … Terry died from a broken neck sustained in a very severe auto accident while returning home from Springfield, Ohio on the night of September 17, 1968. It was a horrendous event for Terry’s circle of friends and even those friend’s families. We were not only in disbelief but we were deeply hurting too. You see, Terry was a personable character with the nature of a practical joker and possessing an infectious laugh. When he told a funny story, he would chuckle as he told it. So when he was done, you weren’t sure whether you were laughing at the story or the way in which Terry told it. But it didn’t really matter why you were laughing, he got you to laugh and the day was a little brighter. Five years ago at the 40th Class Reunion, some of Terry’s friends and I made a toast to his memory. And the consensus was unanimous; Terry would have truly enjoyed that night and would have been in rare form indeed.
