SHAWHAN, David W. Age 68 of Xenia, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015. David was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and Wright State University. He was a CPA and owned his own firm, David W. Shawhan CPA Inc. David enjoyed the outdoors and was passionate about his horses. He spent a lot of time training, showing and riding them. He also enjoyed fishing and springtime mushroom hunting. David was a member of the Paso Fino Horse Association, U S Equestrian Federation, BPO Elks 668, Loyal Order Of Moose 73, and Ohio Society of CPA's. David was a long time supporter of the Greene County Fair 4-H livestock auctions. He is preceded in death by his parents William H. and Catherine Shawhan. Survived by his wife of 24 years Joyce Fulwiler-Shawhan, son Lee (Jessica) Shawhan of Salida, Colorado, 2 granddaughters Riley and Reid Shawhan, daughter Leslie Bevis of Parker, Colorado, 3 brothers John (Mary) Shawhan, Jim Shawhan, Tom (Janet) Shawhan, his 20 year office Associate and friend Annette Sweigart, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and family "critters". The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Liberty Nursing Center, Jamestown and Legacy Village, Xenia for their devoted care, compassion and concern.
