Judith Ann (Sconce) Klingler, 68, of Kokomo passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018. She was born June 24, 1950 to Henry and Joanne (Pettijohn) Sconce in Topeka, Kansas.
Judy graduated from Beavercreek High School, in Beavercreek, Ohio and then met and fell in love with Gerd Klingler, marrying him in 1972 in Ohio. In 1981 the couple moved to Kokomo, Indiana to raise their family. Judy was a devoted wife and mother, staying at home to raise the kids until they all began school, then she went to work for Western School Corporation, retiring in 2014 after 24 years. She was an integral part of her kids’ lives; whether it was PTO, scout leader, room, band, baseball, or dance mom, her children were always her first priority and she supported all their activities. She was very proud of all of them. She loved all things musical and holiday related. The children remember all of the birthdays and holidays that she made so very special. Christmas was her favorite; she loved everything about it from the music to decorating to gathering the family together. And there was Ellie, her little dog and faithful companion. Judy will always be remembered by her devotion to family, especially her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her children, Heidi (Brandon) Clark, Erich (Kim) Klingler, Amy Klingler (Alec Whittle), Emily Klingler (Matt Burns), and Anna (Ryan) Miller; sister, Becky Laepple; grandchildren, Natalie Klingler, Abigail, Mason and Erica Clark, Phoebe and Ozzie Miller; nephew, Jake Laepple; and her dog, Ellie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her nephew, Josh Laepple.
