Kathy Shulaw (Sewell)

Kathy Lynn (Shulaw) Sewell, 73, of Enon, Ohio was born to Amiel Paul Shulaw and Gladys Katherin (Eads) Shulaw on May 8th, 1948, and passed away February 5th, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Kathy and her husband Jimmy were married on August 10th, 1968 (53 years). The two met as students at Beavercreek High School in Beavercreek, Ohio, where their relationship began. After they married, they had their son Roy and moved to Orlando, Florida where their daughter Julie was born. During their marriage they enjoyed many adventures including camping and canoeing as a family with their two children. After their children were grown, they moved back to Ohio where they continued to go on many adventures to visit friends and family, as well as visiting countless other states and landmarks.
Kathy was preceded in death by parents Amiel Paul Shulaw and Gladys Katherin (Eads) Shulaw, brother Alan Lee (Butch) Shulaw, and daughter Julie Ann Sewell.
Kathy is survived by her husband Jimmy Douglas Sewell, son Roy Lee (Sandy) Sewell Sr, grandchildren Kristina Sewell, Roy (Randi) Sewell Jr, Mathew (Ashton) Sewell, great-grandchild Delta Sewell, brother Paul Douglas (Jan) Shulaw, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim (Debbie) Brown, and nieces and nephew Starr, Dena, Jamey (Angie) and Jennifer (Steve).
Kathy was a Christian who walked closely with Christ in her life and used her many talents to serve Him. She loved singing with the choir and performing specials at her home church, West Enon Church of God. Kathy also participated in the women's group and would go to weekly bible studies. She and her husband Jimmy could be found helping with the children's ministries, especially during Vacation Bible School events, where they would lend a helping hand to bring joy and laughter. She loved her family and enjoyed playing games and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
The family would like to thank everyone who prayed and sent cards of encouragement during her illness. The family welcomes any thoughts and stories of times spent with Kathy. Services will be held at West Enon Church of God in Enon, Ohio on Friday February 11th, 2022. Viewing will be held from 4pm to 6pm with services to follow.
