SMITH, Jr., James B. Age 73,of Medway, Ohio passed away in his residence on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 5:50 p.m. Born on October 12, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, James was a son of the late James Ballard and Sara Louise (Hardman) Smith, Sr. He married Marilyn Heaton on July 16, 1984 and she survives. James is also survived by three daughters: Traci (Scott) Wills of Melbourne, FL; Robbi (Russell) Wylie of Waynesville, OH; Sherri (Fred) Beck of New Lebanon, OH; a step daughter, Margaret Hay of West Milton, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Bill Smith, Janet Crabtree, Lisa (Larry) Hatton, all of Gladewater, TX, Philip (Linda) Smith of Gilmer, TX; and Annette Titerence of Columbus, OH; a brother-in-law William (Joyce Ann) Heaton of Fletcher, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents a brother Ronald G. Smith, a sister-in-law, Connie Smith, a niece and a nephew, preceded him in death. James was a 1960 graduate of Beavercreek High School. He retired in 1993 after 30 years of service with Chrysler Air Temp Corp., Dayton, OH. He was a member of the Sons of Am Vets Post 148, Medway, OH. His family would like to extend a special thank you to his friends Jill Broyles and Jerry Spence for all of their help. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, with Pastor Bill Perry presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, S. High Street, Saint. Paris. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
